The York Group, a consulting firm headquartered in Boston, came out with a map like this in 2006, and updates have been popping up on the Internet ever since. This version was compiled by Corporate Board Member. Is it of practical use to directors? Absolutely, especially if you’re curious about why you developed a taste for Wiener schnitzel after attending a board meeting in Washington State or started speaking with an Irish lilt after an offsite in Louisiana.
