Making Corporate Boards More Effective
OVERVIEW
Making Corporate Boards More Effective presents techniques, strategies, and action plans for improving board design, maximizing individual contributions to company boards, and improving corporate governance. CEOs, board chairs, and other directors of public companies will gain an enlightened perspective on their expanding roles and new approaches to achieving corporate goals.
This program promotes cooperation between the board and management. Participants will learn how boards of leading companies work successfully in unison together and with their management team in diverse fronts, including strategic direction, financial reporting, and mergers and acquisitions. The program will help participants improve the functioning of their boards, in general, as well as their own personal contributions.
Offered at Harvard Business School since 1992, the program continues to evolve to reflect the most timely issues associated with corporate governance. Making Corporate Boards More Effective is Harvard Business School’s flagship board program and complements two additional programs, "Compensation Committees: New Challenges, New Solutions" and "Audit Committees in a New Era of Governance."
