Corporate Board Member and NYSE Euronext are proud to present the Director Peer Exchange to be held November 3-4, 2010 at The Palmer House in Chicago, IL.
Corporate Board Member’s Peer Exchange programs have proven to be the most highly valued events that we offer. 99% of all past participants have expressed a desire to return. There is no press present at any of the peer exchange sessions, and all discussions are off-the-record. Sessions are truly peer driven with advisers in the room to serve only as as-needed resources. Unlike our Board Committee Peer Exchanges that are limited to committee chairs, lead directors/non-executive chairs, and general counsel, the Director Peer Exchange is open to all audit, compensation, and nominating/governance committee board members.
The Director Peer Exchange promises a one-of-a-kind opportunity to:
- Interact and exchange valuable information in closed-door, off-the-record sessions
- Discuss issues with peers who face similar challenges in performing their duties in today’s challenging environment
- Share current struggles and take away proven solutions for today’s boardroom challenges
- Improve your role as a director
Here’s what some 2009 Director Peer Exchange participants had to say about their biggest take-aways from the event:
- Impressed with candid experienced participants
- Relationships and peer experiences
- Sharing experiences on variety of board issues
- Networking
- The value of interacting with a broad group of other directors
- We are not alone in our concerns and challenges
- Candid input from my peers
- Improvement ideas for corporate governance
- Interchange with directors from other businesses
- Breadth of choices/processes/structures available
- Concepts and information for future use
- Suggestions to take home to my boards--things that others are doing
- Diversity of companies managing the same issues
