The Annual Boardroom Summit included a one-day general session and a half-day of board committee breakout sessions. General session topics addressed governance issues facing board members of public companies today, such as board scope, board compensation trends, board/CEO relations, risk management, techniques for enhancing communication between management and audit committees, and more. General session speakers included key governance influencers, esteemed governance academics, NYSE representatives, and fellow Fortune 1000 CEOs and lead directors.
The half-day committee breakout sessions were facilitated by industry advisers and will dealt with issues of both form and substance. Participants had the opportunity to share insights and solutions with their peers while discussing critical issues and challenges facing their board committees, including structure, process, and problem solving.
