Tattoos for Board Members
from Summer 2000
by Fran Liscio
Tattoos in high places-and we`re not talking pirate kings here-aren`t entirely new. President Reagan`s secretary of state (and Princeton alum) George Shultz, 79, once disclosed to fellow cabinet members that he had a tiger (Princeton`s emblem) tattooed on his posterior. This doesn`t seem to have 86`d him from any boardroom-Shultz is a director of Charles Schwab, Gilead Science, and UNext.com. He`s also on the board of privately held Bechtel. If you are tempted to get a tattoo but would rather salute your director`s lot than your alma mater, here are some possible themes.
We don`t presume to suggest locations.
